Investigative studies for Safety Effectiveness of Road Safety Products

Road safety is of prime importance as road accidents are among the biggest causes of death in the country. A well-designed road with appropriate safety measures is a necessity to address this.

The country’s efforts are progressing with Black Spot Management, analyzing the accident-prone stretches and making geometric corrections and other safety interventions for black spots. The effectiveness of interventions is less understood and seldom analyzed in the Indian context.

The objective of the present study is to perform investigative studies to quantify the effectiveness of road safety interventions of various safety products.
